At the forefront of electric mobility, VinFast is seeking a CMF Design Lead to drive material, color, and finish strategy across its next-generation vehicle programs. This role is central to ensuring that design vision, brand identity, and production feasibility align seamlessly from early concept through to final delivery.

Operating at the intersection of design, engineering, and supplier ecosystems, the CMF Lead will manage external studios and global stakeholders, translating evolving trends and material innovations into cohesive, production-ready experiences. The position demands both creative direction and executional control, ensuring that every tactile and visual detail reinforces VinFast’s commitment to sustainable and premium EV design.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage external CMF design studios for end-to-end development.

Direct trend research, benchmarking, and concept creation aligned with brand identity.

Review and refine CMF proposals to ensure design consistency and program intent.

Develop and maintain CMF specification documentation for engineering and stakeholders.

Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and design.

Oversee supplier development and approval of master material samples.

Ensure timely delivery of program milestones and quality standards.

Collaborate with internal teams on material innovation and sustainability strategies.

Required Skills & Expertise

8+ years of experience in CMF design, preferably in automotive.

Strong understanding of material processes (hard & soft trim) and cost-driven design.

Knowledge of sustainable materials and applications in mobility.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, VRED, and MS Office.

Experience leveraging AI tools for CMF research and visualization workflows.

Excellent color sensitivity (Munsell or equivalent) and aesthetic judgment.

Strong communication, organizational, and project management capabilities.
