About Job Description


As part of the Global Tata Design network, this role sits within the India Design Studio in Pune, contributing to both advanced and production vehicle programs. The HMI/UX Designer will shape future-facing in-car experiences, working across UI systems, interaction design, and storytelling to bring intuitive and emotionally engaging mobility interfaces to life.


From early concept visioning to production implementation, this position bridges design creativity, user experience, and technical feasibility, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across design and engineering.


Key Responsibilities (Snapshot)


Design intuitive UI interfaces, animations, and interaction systems for automotive experiences.

Develop concept proposals for advanced and production programs (e.g., future mobility concepts).

Conduct trend analysis & benchmarking to inform future UX strategies.

Translate ideas into sketches, prototypes, motion studies, and storytelling assets.

Collaborate across Interior, Exterior, CMF, and UX teams.

Present insights, design rationale, and future UX visions to stakeholders.


Skills & Tools


UI/UX & Prototyping: Figma, Adobe XD, Protopie, Axure

Visual Design: Photoshop, Illustrator, Design Systems

Motion: After Effects, Premiere Pro

3D (Preferred): Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity

Strong foundation in user-centered design & usability principles



Profile

Degree in Interaction Design or Automotive Design

Experience in automotive UX/UI is a plus

Strong communication, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills
